Bristol Rovers have today announced that Jo Kuffour who was set to sign a contract in advance of tomorrows game at Hereford, has been delayed until next week.
The deal worth in the region of £60,000 by all accounts was due to be signed after talks with the club yesterday, however Jo became ill and this prevented him from travelling.
This news follows Vital Gas’s revelation yesterday that talks with Bournemouth had taken part and a bid from the club was verbally accepted.
‘We have made a few bids for him and have had to tweak it upwards a couple of times to try to get him,’ said Trollope.
‘He’s a player we have tracked for a long time and he has a record of scoring goals in this division in teams that have struggled.’
‘We would love to see him in our squad and to see how many goals he could get in a team that is hopefully going to be in the top half of the table.’
Although finer details of his contract need to be ironed out, Trollope is confident that all looks good so far.

Jo became ill, or has another team come in with an offer? something not right here. I hope nhe comes to the Gas but are we heading for another bubble burst?
I agree BAG, something dodgy going on, probably his agent trying to squeeze more money, by making Rovers think they are being guzumped
It that is the case, then sod him, let him to elsewhere and we can go on with Duffy, Lambo and Hunt.
Just saying it is the typical rule of thumb, there is always a reason to delay and i doubt his ‘man flu’ is that bad.
GJ didn’t put up with pushy players. Please don’t do the opposite Trolls. Do the right thing…sign Nicholson!
