Manager Mark McGhee has praised the travelling Rovers fans who made the effort to travel down to Exeter City to see Rovers win their first game of the season 2-1.

McGhee said to the official‘We need to build on the victory, but we will have to improve on this performance. The fans came down in their numbers and it was fantastic, they gave us real support. During this difficult period where we have played well and played poorly they have stood behind us and they have helped us get the victory.’

There was 1,147 Gasheads that travelled down to St James Park to watch Rovers grab their first win of the season against Exeter City.
