McGhee ‘We Deserved More’

Mark McGhee was left feeling disappointed after Rovers 1-0 away defeat to Aldershot Town.

Peter Vincenti scored the only goal of the game after a slip by Cian Bolger, it was Aldershots only real chance on goal. ‘It was disappointing to lose the game but I don’t think we deserved to,’ he said. ‘Cian [Bolger] gets a little bit unlucky when he slips for the goal but it is the only shot they had in the game, so from that point of view it’s really disappointing.’

‘I am always looking for more going forward but I thought we got into some good areas,’ he added. ‘We just didn’t convert the chances into goals.

‘We only had a few shots in the game ourselves, not great chances and not enough chances, but on the balance of play we certainly didn’t deserve to lose the game.’

McGhee made five changes to the side that beat Southend on the weekend.
