A young Bristol Rovers reserve side lost to Southampton 2-0 at Twerton Park.
Rovers gave a start to trialist Kofi Poyser who was on Aston Villa’s books, but its not thought Rovers will follow up their interest. Rovers lost the game 2-0 with Ryan Doble scoring both of Southamptons goals.
Mike Green looked sharp in the Rovers goal and there was run outs for Ben Swallow, Charlie Reece, Harry Pell and Eliot Richards who have all been involved in the first team this season.
