Bristol Rovers crashed to defeat away to play off hopefuls Gillingham.

Paul Buckle had to leave out striker Matt Harrold due to illness, so Eliot Richard started. Rovers got off to a bad start when Lewis Montrose put Gills ahead after just 8 minutes. Rovers never created any real chance in the first half in an overall poor first half performance. Danny Kedwell made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time from the penalty spot.

Rovers came out stronger in the second half and grabbed a goal back through Mustapha Carayol, but Gillingham restored their two goal lead when Danny Jackman scored with a low drive. Cian Bolger fouled in the area and Kedwell made it 4-1 from the spot. Bolger who was brought on in the first half for the injured Anthony was sent off.
