Bristol Rovers lost their first home game of the season to manager Paul Buckles former side Torquay United.

Rovers got off to a poor start Going 2-0 down in side the opening 15 minutes. Taiwo Atieno put Torquay 1-0 up then former Rovers loanee Rene Howe scored from the spot after a poor back pass from Smith.

Byron Anthony got Rovers back into the game scoring a header after the Torquay keeper had saved from Anyinsah. Sub Chris Zebroski had a chance to draw Rovers level put blasted wide. Jo Kuffour looked livley when he came on and Rovers day was not helped by some poor decsions by referee Jonathon Moss who let the Torquay defence pull Matt Harrold about all game.

Rovers next game is on Tuesday night at The Memorial stadium against Gary Johnsons Northampton.
