Bristol Rovers lost 2-0 to Struggling Barnet at The Memorial Stadium yesterday.

The latest defeat means Rovers have lost six out of their eight League Two games. Manager Paul Buckle made two changes to last weekends team that beat Corby Town 3-1 in the F.A Cup. Midfielder Matt Gill returned from injury to replace Craig Stanley and Joe Anyinsah replace striker Scott McGleish, meaning Chris Zebroski moved up front to partner Matt Harrold.

On 19 minutes Izale McLeod put Barnet ahead after latching on to a long ball from Mark Hughes and fired past Scott Bevan. Rovers struggled to make any real cut chances in the game, in the second half Buckle brought on Striker Scott McGliesh, but had to be replaced just 11 minutes later after badly twisting his knee. Elliot Richard came on and made a good impact almost scoring from 30 yards out, but his shot struck the cross bar.

Deep in to injury time Barnet made sure of all three points when Mark Byrne slotted past Scott Bevan. Rovers now sit in 17th place on 21 points. Next up is an away trip to league leaders Southend.
