Bristol Rovers have began Talks with defender Gary Sawyer over a deal contract for next season.
Sawyer is one of many players who is out of contract in the summer and the left back is hoping to secure a new deal. He told TIB ‘I like where the club is going now and what the manager (Mark McGhee) is doing. I enjoy playing for him and I have a smile on my face every day when I come in, so hopefully we can sort things out contract-wise.
‘It’s in motion and talks have started, so we will see where we go from there.’ The 26 year old has made 25 appearances for Rovers this season in a injury hit season. He has made a total of 67 appearances since signing from Plymouth in the summer of 2010.
