Rovers Sign Defender Leadbitter

Defender Daniel Leadbitter has today signed for Bristol Rovers.

The versatile defender can play either right back or at centre back, he played for Hereford United last season and made 39 appearances for the club. He has also played for Torquay United but came up through the ranks at Newcastle.

The 23 year old was linked with a host of League clubs last season and has just cut short a trial with Southend. Rovers have had Danny Higgins playing right back in preseason and its not sure if this is instead of higgins.

Rovers have also been linked with former Forest Green defender Jamie Turley.
