Rovers Sign Keeper Smith

Bristol Rovers today completed the signing of goalkeeper Paul Smith.


Smith is likely to play in tonight’s Capital One Cup first round clash away at Ipswich Town. Smith has been brought in by McGhee as Scott Bevan will miss the start of the season and young keeper Conor Gough is thought to be not quite ready.


The 32 year old keeper spent most of his time at Nottingham Forest but has also had spells at Brentford, Southampton and most recently he had a ten match loan spell with Championship side Middlesbrough. After six years at The City Ground, smith was released in the summer.
