Bristol Rovers have taken former Sunderland striker Oumare Tounkara on trial.
The 22 year old was released by Sunderland at the end of the 2011-2012 season after spending three seasons with the club. Tounkara had two loan spells at Oldham and made 44 starts for the League One club and scored 8 times. He never made a first team appearances whilst at Sunderland, but was involved in pre-season friendly s for the club and also scored against York City.
The striker will stay with Rovers for a one week trial.
