It is rumoured that Paul Trollope is targeting Swansea City striker Darryl Duffy.
Duffy has fallen out of favour at Swansea and did not play any part in Swansea’s run in as it would have triggered an appearance clause meaning Swansea would have had to pay Hull City £100,000.
Trollope has made no secret of the fact he intends to bring in new firepower at Rovers and looks to turn to Duffy.
‘There has been some interest in Darryl from a couple of teams in League One and we are going to study all the options,’ Martinez said to the Evening Post.
‘Sometimes it’s important you realise that for the benefit of the player and Swansea City, you need a new challenge.
‘But nothing is going to be done or settled until we have got a clear situation on the table, and there’s nothing concrete at the moment.’
It is believed a fee of around £100,000 would be enough to capture the former Falkirk striker.
