Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope has held talks with Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen in the hope of securing a deal to bring the keeper back The Memorial Stadium this season.

The Danish under 21 International spent almost all of last season on loan at Rovers and made the number spot his, now Trollope hopes to bring Andersen back on a season long loan. ‘There are a number of possibilities and we are speaking to a number of agents and players and we are hopeful that we will secure a keeper quite soon.

‘Mikkel Andersen is one of those targets. I’ve had a number of discussions with [Andersen] and Reading through the summer and it’s a possibility Mikkel might return.’ Trollope told the official website.

Andersen made 39 appearances whilst on loan with Bristol Rovers and has been linked with moves to Greek clubs Olympiakos and Panathinaikos over the summer.
