Paul Trollope is confident that his side have what it takes to make it through the play off final.

Rovers last night booked there place in the play off final, after beating Lincoln City 5-3 (7-4 on aggregate).

He said: ‘I don’t think there is any doubt that playing at the Millennium Stadium will help us. The (play-off) final will be a similar occasion to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.

‘There will be a big crowd inside a tremendous stadium but it will not be a new experience for us.

‘No disrespect but not many players at this level get to play in games such as the one we did in Cardiff and the one we will play in next week.

‘Players can freeze and let the occasion get the better of them and you do not know how they are going to respond until they are out there on the pitch, and then sometimes that can be too late.

‘But I already know my players can cope with that situation because they proved to me they can at the Millennium Stadium

‘That kind of experience can only be a good thing and we have had more what you might call ‘big match’ experiences in other competitions this season as well.

‘We played up at Derby in the FA Cup and held our own against a team who could end up in the Premiership.

‘We played Bristol Rovers over two legs in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy to get to Cardiff and we had a game at Hartlepool on the last day of the season that we had to win to give us the chance to get where we are now.

‘We have coped with it all and hopefully next week at Wembley we will be able to celebrate.’

Rovers play either MK Dons or Shrewsbury on May 26th at Wembley.
