Vital Gas Interviews 2012: Kingswood_Gashead

1)How long have you been a Rovers fans?

My first game was against Preston in what is described as the ‘nearly’ season, I was seven years old (I think) and can’t say I remember a great deal. For the next two seasons I went to most Saturday home games and my obsession slowly grew but wasn’t allowed to go to midweek games on school nights. My first season ticket was in 03/04 which was Graydon’s first season in charge.

2)Mark McGhee, your opinion please?

Can’t say I’d ever heard of him when we appointed him, but my dad was fairly happy and I could see he had a decent CV. I like how he seems to have brung some calm and common sense to the club and I don’t think we could’ve appointed a better (realistic) candidate.

3)Best and worst moments of last season?

Best was Buckle leaving. In terms of individual games I’d say the Wimbledon game, I only watched on Sky but was buzzing all afternoon and the pooheads losing 3-0 at home made it that little bit sweeter. In terms of games I was actually at I’d say winning with the last kick of the game against Rotherham in a dour game. Worst was Crewe at home, hideous defending, awful weather and an atmosphere I don’t think I’ve ever experienced at The Mem and hope we never do again.

4)What will your opinion of the board be if they deliver The New Mem as promised?

Can’t say I’ve ever had any ill feeling towards the board, but I will be delighted if they pull it off and with Higgs’ construction background I’m confident they will.

5)Which players should Rovers look to sign over the summer?

McCleod as you can never not want a proven goalscorer, a winger to replace the inevitably off Carayol and a bit of steel in central midfield.

6)Which player would you happily drive to his new club to get rid?

Don’t like to say it but Zebroski as for all his efforts I don’t see a League Two player in him.

7)Favourite current player?

Was Muzzy by a country mile but his social network ramblings have left a bit of a bitter taste so Matty Harrold.

8)Favourite all time player?

Stuart Campbell, in the time I’ve been watching I don’t think there has been another player half as committed to BRFC.

9)Where do you expect to see us finish next season?

Very difficult to answer until we see who we’re going to sign, but for now I’ll go for a conservative 9th.

10)Given the opportunity is there any question from the Club you would like to know the answer to?

The two women that would make up Shaun North’s dream threesome.

11)And finally Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why?

Mario Ballotelli and Katy Perry for very different, but hopefully obvious reasons.
