Bristol Rovers defender Byron Anthony is excited about the forth coming tie against Leeds United.

Rovers take on Leeds on Friday night at the Memorial stadium in front of the biggest crowd ever at the Mem. Leeds strike pair Jermaine Beckford and Tresor Kandol has already scored seven goals between them, but Anthony is looking forward to facing them.

‘Leeds have had a very good start to the season, and they’re back on zero points after five games which is the best they could have hoped for,’ he said. ‘They’ll come here on Friday and I’m sure will be aiming for a push towards the automatic promotion places or the play-offs.’

Leeds are so far unbeaten in the League, but Anthony is confident Rovers can beat the Yorkshire side.

‘We’ve got a good bunch of players here, and a good management team, and I think such is the progress we’ve made that we’ll be very disappointed if we don’t manage to beat Leeds.’
