Right back Daniel Leadbitter looks set to be out injured for up to six weeks.

The 27 year old was replaced by Arsenal loan player Marc Bola after 36 minutes of the 0-0 draw away to Walsall on Boxing Day and Manager Darrell Clarke says it looks like a hamstring injury which could keep him out for between four to six weeks.

Leadbitter has been a regular and has made 21 appearances for Rovers this season.

Clarke also took off midfielder Billy Bodin on 65 minutes, but Clarke insists it was just a precaution.

“I took Billy off today because he`s not that long back from a hamstring injury as well to be honest with you,” explained Clarke.

“All of a sudden you lose two to hamstrings and we can`t afford it, we haven`t got the squad size, or depth, or quality to be able to have long term injuries.”

Rovers face Oldham away on Saturday looking to build on their first draw off the seaon on Boxing day.
