How long have you been following Rovers and what was your first game?

For as long as I can remember. My first game was in the 72/73 season, home to Aston Villa in the third division. Lost 1-0, but I was hooked. We were wearing plain blue shirts that season, the last season before we returned to the famous quarters.

What is your most memorable moment following the gas?

Best?
Apart from Wembley, it has to be 2nd May 1990. Beating the old enemy 3-0 to clinch promotion and subsequently take the 3rd division championship from them really takes some beating.

Worst?
It was 2003, a home game against Cambridge Utd. It was cold, wet and we were absolutely awful. We got thumped 3-0 (and it could have been more). As I walked from the ground, I remember thinking, it just can’t get any worse than this. It’s the closest I’ve ever come to packing it all in. But, once a Gashead, always a Gashead! I’m still here.

Who is your all time favourite player?

I was always excited by Mickey Barrett. It was such a tragedy that he was taken from us at such a young age. I’ve no doubt he would have gone on to much bigger and better things.

What would you say is the best goal you have seen us score?

Has to be Stuart Campbell’s opener at Lincoln in the play off semi. In golfing terms, that really came off the sweet spot.

Best away ground visited?

Purely for the atmosphere we created and the fact that we outnumbered the home fans of a premiership team. It has to be Craven Cottage. (I didn’t make it to Anfield, which most people are choosing).

What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

I’m trying to keep the faith, because I think it’s vital to our hopes of ever being anything more than a half-decent lower-league club. But I have serious doubts over the current board’s ability to deliver. I hope I’m wrong.

Which player(s) would you like to see us sign (realistically)?

As I write, we’ve signed Duffy, Hughes and Hunt, which I’m quite excited about. I’d really like to see an attacking right-sided midfielder added to the list, to provide some cover for Pipe.

Which player would you like to see leave the club?

Sean Rigg. To my mind, he’ll never make it at this level.

What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?

The main aim of last season was League 1 consolidation, so we achieved that. But I was very disappointed with the way we played once the cup run had ended. There seemed to be a lack of commitment from quite a few of the players, and that should not be allowed to happen.

What are your expectations for next season?

I’m excited by the new signings and I’d be disappointed with anything less than a top-half finish. A lot depends on how the pitch holds up though. Hopefully, the new drains will improve things.

Where do you sit/stand at the Ground?

Das Enclosure, just south of the half-way line.

Name the celebrity you would most like to bang?

Martine McCutcheon.
