Lambert Scores Twice As Rovers Lose

Rickie Lambert returned to Bristol Rovers and scored twice on his debut for West Brom.

Lambert only signed from Liverpool earlier today for a fee estimated to be around £3 million pond. Rovers were with out the injured quartet of Will Puddy, Lee Brown, Mark McChrystal and Lee Mansell and worryingly for Darrell Clarke Ellis Harrison limped off injured in the first half.

Craig Gardner and Victor Anichebe also scored for West Brom on either side of half-time. It was Rovers last pre-season game, next up is the season opener at home to Northampton Town a week tomorrow.
