Bristol Rovers are closing in on the signing of Ex Forest Green defender Jamie Turley.
The 24 year old central defender left Forest Green at the end of last season, he was offered a new contract but he declined. He has represented England C and was voted England C player of the year in 2013.
He has played with Darrell Clarke whilst at Salisbury and can also play at right back. Turley has been linked with League clubs on a number of occasions and is rated as one of the best centre backs outside the Football League.
It’s hoped the deal will be completed by tomorrow.
