Rovers To Play Watford Away

Bristol Rovers have been drawn to play against Championship side Watford away in the Carling Cup.

The match is set to be played in the third week of August

Gasheads will be hoping for a more successful campaign than last year, when we were knocked out in the second round by West Ham, following two goals from Craig Bellamy.

Watford ended up 6th in the Championship last season, so this will not be an easy draw, especially away from home.

Not a bad draw as far as they go, ordinarily I would prefer to play at home, however with our pitch, I think it’s better for all concerned to play away

Be almost like playing at home with Watford having a rugby pitch too! A tough, but winable game.

Could have had easier to be honest. Watford are fairly strong. Still, we have beaten stronger sides last season and our squad will (hopefully) be better this season!
