Bristol Rovers are to do a open top bus tour of Bristol on bank holiday Monday.

Rovers will be touring the town after securing promotion to League One after beating Shrewsbury Town 3-1 in the play off final.

The bus will leave the High Street in Warmley at 11:15am, before going through Two Mile Hill Road in Kingswood.

It will then go through St George along Bell Hill Road, Clouds Hill Road and Church Road.

As the bus approaches the city centre it will pass along Lawrence Hill Roundabout, Clarence Road, Temple Way, Bond Street, The Haymarket, Rupert Street and St Augustine’s Parade before finally arriving at College Green at noon.

Fans are invited to gather along the route, or head to College Green where the tour will conclude.

The event will then end with civic reception for players, staff, management and directors with the Lord Mayor.

What a great day, fantastic turn out. Gasheads everywhere, it felt good to wear the shirt through the city without any trouble.

What an atmosphere too, Trolls with the trophy, what a sight !!
