Southend Still Keen On O’Toole

Southend Manager Phil Brown has admitted he is still keen on bringing Rovers midfielder John Joe O’Toole to Southend.

Brown was interested in O’Toole last summer before the 25 year old decided to join Rovers after a successful loan spell. The former Colchester man has made it no secret that he wants to play in the highest standard possible and after Rovers relegation to the Conference a move for O’Toole is almost certain.

O’Toole was Rovers top goal scorer last season scoring 15 goals in 46 appearances, he still has two years remaining on his current contract.
