1) What made you become a Gashead?
Brought up in Somerset, my Dad had no allegiance so picked a club for us to go and see a game. We were young so there was no chance it would be ‘them up the road’ because they had a large hooligan contingent and the Gas were considered, rightly, to be more family friendly.
2) Whats your first memory as a Gashead?
Chester, 1987, 2-0 down, Devon White scored a brace to nab us a point. When the second went in the Twerton roar was electrifying and I was hooked for life.
3) If you could bring back one Bristol Rovers player (in his prime) who would it be?
Dennis Bailey was unplayable in his first loan spell for us.
4) Who in your opinion is the greatest ever Rovers manager?
I love Gerry and Darrell, but looking at the players we had and the success we had, it has to be Bert Tann. One more promotion and Darrell would be hard to beat, though…,
5) Favourite current and former Rovers player?
Tom Lockyer, Devon White.
6) Your opinion on Darrell Clarke?
Can do little wrong at present. Keep up the good work!
7) Your opinion on the new owners and Steve Hamer?
I have no reason but to take them at face value. They are doing their best to get a complicated deal over the line with the UWE, all other facets of the club seem to be slowly progressing.
8) Which player if any would you like to see leave Rovers this summer?
None. They’ve all played a part in our progress and we need to build on what we have rather than tear up the script and start again.
9) What do you think we need in the transfer window?
First priorities: goalkeeper, central defender, striker.
10) In your opinion will the New Stadium happen?
Toss of a coin. I’ll say yes.
11) Who was your first footballing hero?
Ian Rush.
12) What do you expect from Rovers this season?
Mid table or above would be another good season.
13) And finally, your stuck on a desert island. You can pick one person to be with, who would you choose?
My son.
