John Wards Bristol Rovers moved out of the relegation zone after beating Barnet 2-1 at The Memorial Stadium.

German winger Fabian Broghammer was recalled to the starting line up on the left hand side of midfield in place of Eliot Richard who had been ill this week. Barnet Manager Edgar Davids gave himself a start in the centre of midfield. Rovers looked up for it from the start snapping into tackles, but we’re unable to break Barnet down in the first 45 minutes.

It took Rovers until 78 minutes to take the lead, Fabian Broghammer fired home after good work from left back Lee Brown. The mem was rocking, but Barnet looked to have snatched a point when Harry Crawford hit a low strike in the last minute of normal time. Just as the Barnet fans were singing ‘your not singing anymore’ Ryan Brunt fired home to take all three points for Rovers.

Rovers moved up to 19th in League Two after the win and next face Cheltenham Town away on Tuesday night.
