A great solo strike from midfielder Mustapha Carayol was enough to seal all three points for Bristol Rovers. Mark McGhee made one change to the side that drew with Torquay last week, Lee Brown came back in the side after recovering from injury in place of Andy Dorman.

Rovers dominated the early stages and deservedly took the lead after 11 minutes. Carayol, Zebroski and Woodards all fired wide for Rovers in the first half.

The second half Wimbledon got back into the game and Bevan had to make a smart save from George Moncur to keep the scores level. Rovers climbed up to 14th in League Two after Saturday’s win. Next up for Rovers is an away trip to Plymouth on Tuesday night.
