City beat rovers in fans derby..

The fourth Great Bristol Fans Derby took place last night at Ashton Gate in front of several hundred fans.

It was the City fans forum team who came out eventual winners and reclaim the Trophy that Rovers have held for the past two years.

First half goals from Man Of The Match Ed Jarvis and Jon Lansdown gave City a two goal lead at half time, Rovers came out in the second half looking to grab a early goal to get them self back in the game, but they had to wait until the 74th minute for the goal. Chris Watkins coolly slotted the ball home to make it 2-1, but Rovers could find that all in important second goal. In fact City had a chance to make it 3-1, but Matt James made a good save from City?s Matt Tancock.

The game looks set to raise around £7,000 for the Children’s Hospice South West appeal.

There is a further opportunity to raise more money when the Rovers forum team take on a Bath City forum team on the 2nd of May at Twerton Park
