Bristol Rovers Manager John Ward brought midfielder John Joe O’Toole back in to the starting line up after the midfielder had completed his 3 match ban, Mitch Harding was dropped to the bench.

It was O’Toole that gave Rovers the lead on 30 minutes when the midfielder slotted home from close range after Matt Harrold’s shot had been saved. Clarkson could of sent Rovers in at half time 2-0 up but Clarkson blazed over from 10 yards out.

Morecambe levelled 10 minutes in to the second half, Jack Sampson crossed from the right, Stewart Drummond flicked on and Padraig Amond slid in at the far post to score at full stretch. It looked as if Rovers were going to hold on for a point but with just 3 minutes to go Redshaw slotted home from six yards out.

Rovers are in 22nd in League Two just one point above the relegation zone, next up for Rovers is an away trip to Crawley in a F.A Cup Second Round replay.
