Rovers got a vital point at play off rivals Darlington, but were unlucky not to take all three. Both sides were mainly restricted to long shots during an entertaining game at the Darlington arena.

Junior Agogo had Rovers best chances, the first was well saved by the Quakers keeper. The second he calmly slotted home to put the Gas 1-0!

The lead only lasted 7 minutes though, referee Nigel Miller ajudged gas keeper Shearer to have fouled his man, but it looked liked a perfectly timed save from Shearer.

Former Leeds striker Simon Johnson stepped up to slot home from the spot. Despite having the best chances in the match Rovers will be pleased to grab a point away from home against one of their play off rivals.
Paul Trollope
‘This was the start of a very big week for us,’ Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, ‘We’ve taken a point today, we’ve had a good warm-down, and now the preparation starts for Tuesday’s game against Cheltenham.
