Bristol Rovers Manager John Ward named the same side that drew 1-1 away at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night.

Rovers were quick out of the blocks again and were unlucky not to take the lead, when Danny Woodards was played in but Woodards fired straight at the Cheltenham keeper. Cheltenham then picked up and Rovers had to be alert at the back. Tom Parkes pulled of a goal saving tackle to keep the scores level.

Rovers took the lead on 54 minutes, Striker Ryan Brunt burst into the box and was fouled by Jake Wright. Lee Brown stepped up and slotted the ball home, but was made to retake the penalty by the referee as he said Rovers players were i crocheting. Brown held his nerve and slotted the ball home again in the same place. Oxford striker James Constable had two good chances, but blazed over the bar on both occasions.

Once again deep into injury time Rovers scored, sub Dave Clarkson reacted quickly after Ryan Brunt had been fouled and played a quick free kick to Eliot Richard who slotted home to make it 2-0. Rovers stay in 19th in League Two and next face in form Wycombe Wanderes at The Memorial Stadium. The clash sees the leagues two in form sides play each other.
