John Ward changed the line up bringing in Seanan Clucas and changing to just Ryan Brunt up front.

The first half was poor with neither side creating any real clear cut chances, the best chance went to Ryan Brunt after just 3 minutes but his header was saved by the Fleetwood keeper. The second half came alive and Fleetwood took the lead on 64 minutes, Matt scored a near-post flick to make it 1-0. The lead lasted just 2 minutes when John-Joe O’Toole headed home at the far post from Andy Bond’s left-wing cross.

Rovers then had the chance to take the lead following a cross into the box, but Fleetwood were able to clear the ball off the line after a scramble in the penalty area , then Ryan Brunt hit the post with a header. With just minutes left Fleetwood sealed all three points, Matt scored his second three minutes from time with an emphatic strike and in injury time sub Jon Parkin volleyed home from a narrow angle.

Rovers are now down in 20th place just one point out of the relegation zone. Next up for Rovers is a trip away at Mansfield Town on Saturday.
