Bristol Rovers came from a goal down to clinch all three points at The Memorial Stadium.

Rovers were with out the injured Matty Taylor so Rory Gaffney partnered Ellis Harrison up front. Rovers started the brighter of the two teams, so it was against the run of play when Vale took the lead. A lucky deflection fell to Martin Paterson who drilled the ball past Kelle Roos in the Rovers goal.

Rovers were back on level terms just before the break when Lee Brown picked out Ellis Harrison with a deep cross and the striker headed a powerful header home. Rovers pushed for the win and Byron Moore gave Rovers the chance when the former Port Vale man was fouled in the box after coming on as a second half sub. The impressive Jermaine Easter stepped up and fired home the spot kick to make it 2-1.

Byron Moore nearly added a third but his chip came back off the post. Rovers are now unbeaten in six games and moved up to 9th in the League One table. Next up for Rovers is a tough trip away at Sheffield United on Tuesday night.
