Mark McGhee made several changes to the squad that last away at Northampton Town.

Michael Smith and Lee Brown were missing through injury and Matt Lund and Joe Anyinsah were dropped to the bench. Matt Harrold and Chris Zebroski were back up front and Andy Dorman was back in the middle of the park. Shaquille Hunter was again on the bench and was joined by Under 18 goalkeeper Matt Macey, who is selected in the senior squad for the first time.

Rovers started off the game well, Carayol was again looking lively. Scott Bevan saved well from Ellis , Mansell and former Rovers striker Rene Howe, but it was Rovers who took the lead. Matt Harrold hit a stunning 25 yard drive that flew past the Torquay keeper.

Rovers went to 2-0 in the second half through another stunning goal, Chris Zebroski who was getting stick from the home side all game ran from the half way line and fired home. Just three minutes later Lee Mansell pulled one back for Torquay and with time running out Rene Howe stabbed home to draw level.

Rovers are now on 42 points and are in 16th place in League Two with eleven games to go. Next up is a home tie against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
