Rovers Hold Leaders Swindon

Bristol Rovers held League Two leaders Swindon Town to a goalless draw at The County Ground.

Manager Mark McGhee made several changes to the side that lost at Aldershot on Tuesday night. Tom Parkes, Mustapha Carayol, Chris Zebroski and Matt Gill all return to the starting lineup, which means Michael Smith, Lee Brown and Andy Dorman all drop to the bench whilst Eliot Richards misses out altogether.

Rovers had to soak up a lot of Swindon pressure in the first half and were a little lucky not to go a goal behind when Connell sliced onto the underside of the crossbar from four yards out. The second half was much more even, Bevan saved well from Connell and Rovers had chances through Harrold and sub Dorman. It was an impressive performance from Rovers against a Swindon Town side that had has an excellent home record.
