Bristol Rovers have today completed the loan signing of Watford striker Alex Jakubiak.

The 21-year-old will stay at The Memorial Stadium for the entire 2018/2019 season. Jakubiak signed his first professional contract with the Hornets at the end of the 2013/2014, after finishing as top scorer for Watford’s’ Under-18s and featuring in the Under-21 Premier League Cup campaign during the 2013/14 season, with 23 goals in total. He also featured in Watfords final game of the season in the Championship against Huddersfield.

Jakubiak then had several loan spells where he managed to get Football League Experience with Oxford United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Fleetwood and Wycombe, below you can see one of the goals he scored whilst on loan with Wycombe.

In the 2015/2016 season, Jakubiak picked up the development Player Of The Season award after scoring over twenty times. Most recently he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Falkirk in the Scottish Championship where he scored seven times in 15 starts.

Jakubiak was Rovers second signing on deadline day following Rovers capture Stefan Payne from Shrewsbury.
