Bristol Rovers headed to Brunton Park hoping to put last weeks 3-0 defeat to Leeds behind them and they got of to a flying start when Steve Elliott thundered a header in at the near post after just 14 minutes.
After Rovers took the lead they looked in full control of the game and looked as if it was just a matter of time before they doubled their lead. Richard Walker who was recalled to the side thought he had added a second only to see the linesman had flagged for offside, it was a very close call.
Simon Hackney came on at half time for Carlisle and looked very lively. Walker almost doubled Rovers lead with a neat flicked header but Keiren Westwood in the Carlisle goal pulled off a brilliant reflex save.
Simon Hackney hit a shot just over and then crossed for Graham to force home to make it 1-1. Sub Andy Williams nearly sealed all three points for the Gas, but his cheeky back heel hit the post.
