Manager John Ward welcomed back striker Brunt into the starting line up and also gave a home debut to youngster Ellis Harrison.

New signing Tounkara was named on the bench. It was Brunt who made his mark early when he side footed home Joe Anyinsahs cross to put Rovers 1-0 up after 5 minutes. Rovers were pilling on the presure but could not add any more goals in the first half as the Burton keeper kept out Harrison and Brunt.

Rovers did add more goals in the second half, first John Joe O’Toole slottedhome Oliver Norburns cross on 70 minutes. Harrison the supplied Richards to add Rovers third and seal all three points for Rovers who moved up to 17th in the League Two table.

Next up is home home fixture against promotion chasing Exeter City on Wednesday night.
