Bristol Rovers play off bid took a bit of a blow as they drew 0-0 with play off rivals Lincoln City at the Memorial Staduim.

In fact Rovers were lucky to get a point as Lincoln hit the woodwork three times. Lincoln’s shots which bounced off the posts came from Mayo, Scott Kerr and sub Lee Frecklington, but their closest chance fell to Ex Rovees front man Jamie Forrester. Lincolns top scorer was put clear by a back-pass that fell short from Sammy Igoe, but he stumbled as he cut into the box.

Rovers really suffered in front of goal and did not really create a clear cut chance. Rickie Lambert had a shot blocked by Paul Morgan. Lambert was behind another good Rovers effort, knocking the ball down to his partner Richard Walker, whose shot was a shade too straight and was collected by keeper Alan Marriott, who had a commanding game.
