Two stunning goals gave Bristol Rovers a deserved 3-2 victory over Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United.

Rovers took the lead on 14 minutes when Rickie Lambert fired in a Andy Sandell throw. Top scorer Richard walker then had two chances to put Rovers further ahead, but the striker hit one straight at the keeper and put the second chance just wide.

Walker did give Rovers a two goal lead in the 54th minute, hitting a 30 yard volley after strike partner Rickie Lambert had laid the ball off.

Peterborough hit back scoring two goals in nine minutes, one from Danny Crow and the other from the Impressive Aaron McLean. Rovers thought they had just threw away two points, but in the 90th minute captian Stuart Campbell stepped up to sensationally score a 25-yard free-kick that flew in just under the bar.
